The first step to getting married is we have to meet and lodge the
Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM), I like to talk to couples and
get a feel for what you are wanting for your ceremony. The Notice of Intended Marriage must be signed one month before your wedding.
I usually meet with you in my home office as I have a program on my
computer for processing the NOIM. The first meeting takes about 1 hour. If you are not in Australia I can meet my couples via Skype. During this meeting I can explain to you the proceeds to getting the NOIM signed off shore.
I have a couple of questions for you both Are you over 18?
Have either of you been married before?
Are you Australian Citizens?
Do you have your birth certificates or passports?
This is our meeting and the lodging of
the NOIM, emails back and forth with your ceremony, a rehearsal, and
the Master Ceremony, and all legals required. If I am required to travel further that 50 kms there will be a travel fee. I bring with me my PA, and you take home a copy of your ceremony with the presentation certificate. You will need to apply to Births Death and Marriages after your marriage if you require this for name change etc.
When the NOIM is lodged a deposit of $100 is required and the
balance of $650 is payable 1 week prior to the wedding usually at rehearsal.
