Tips to Last You through 8 hours of your Wedding Day
Allocate Specific Sleeping Time
Two weeks before your big day, allocate at least 8 hours of non-disruptive everyday. Two days before your big day, increase from 8 hours to 12 hours. Before your sleep, make sure that you do not drink any fluid an hour to avoid the need to wake up in the middle of your sleep to go to the toilet. Blank out your room with thick curtains if possible to avoid any disturbance. Remove your mobile phone from your bedroom to prevent temptation of checking your emails or notifications.
Take Vitamins
If you are doing some kind of diet to look the best for your wedding day, stop for a week. You don’t want to look ghastly on your wedding photos. Take a lot of juices to help to detox any toxic in your body. Eating vitamins will help if you take them at least one month before the wedding. Avoid drinking water an hour before your bedtime to prevent any water retention.
Lots of Water
I have seen too many brides and groom drinking alcohol during their big day and forget to keep themselves hydrated. Keep replenish water throughout the day by having one of your bridesmaid carrying a water bottle with a straw around, regardless if your venue does serve water.
Take periodic rest
If you still want to be laughing and dancing at the night of your wedding, make sure you schedule in a 15 minutes periodic rest away from your guests. You need to a break every 3 hours or so, to get away and rest your mind (and your feet from the heels!) unless you want a pounding headache and aching feet even before the first course of your meal is served.
Water Spray or Mist
There are great brands out there that carries water mist that you can lightly spray over your body and your face to maintain the dewy look throughout the day, particular during summer and winter months when it is drying out your skin.
